Welcome to the Research Group of Nathalie Kunkel

Since January 1st 2019, Nathalie Kunkel is Juniorprofessor (tenure track W2) at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Georg-August-University Göttingen.

Currently, she is also guest professor at the Chair of Inorganic Chemistry with Focus on Novel MaterialsTechnical University of Munich.

Courses offered by our group at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen starting from 2019: see UniVZ

Starting from winter term 2019/2020, we offer a course for Masters‘ students on modern solid state chemistry.  We are looking at preparation and characterization methods in inorganic solid state chemistry as well as materials for different applications, such as optical materials and energy storage materials.

Courses offered by our group at the TU München until 2018 (see also TUMOnline):

In winter term, we offer the course ‚Optische Materialien‘ for Masters‘ students. Here, we are looking at optical properties of inorganic solid state materials, as for example rare earth ion or transition metal ion doped compounds for optical applications, such as lasers, displays, lighting, or spectral filters.

Furthermore, we are contributing six experiments to the ACP3 lab course. Here, we are studying rare earth doped luminescent solid state compounds and complexes.

We also contribute and supervise experiments in the ‚Synthesepraktikum‘.
